Ritmos Latinos Trio  

Presenting a compact and versatile 3 piece band consisting of percussion, bass and guitar plus strong vocals. Fronted by golden voiced Richard Valdez, all band members sing beautiful harmonies and dynamic choruses.

Playing latin styles to suit any occasion, the trio can provide a warm and romantic ambience, as well as play strong popular grooves that lure people onto the dance floor.


The repertoire includes classic and familiar boleros such as Bailando, Besame Mucho, Quizas, Quizas(Perhaps-Perhaps), Oye Como Va and Sway, plus tunes covering an array of Latin and tropical rhythms and styles including salsa, cha cha cha, etc, from different countries across Latin America- Cuba, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, etc (well known favourites, such as La Bamba, Guantanemera, Bamboleo, plus a great range of high spirited, danceable songs).Regarded for its professionalism, talent and presentation, this likable trio is perfect  where spirit, atmosphere and good vibe are required.


About Richard Valdez (Guitar/Vocal)

Originally Perú, singer Richard Valdez has spent 12 years developing his unique vocal style and sound, whilst working full time as a singer before coming to Sydney in 2009. Here he has quickly become known on the salsa scene for his distinctive and powerful voice and dynamic stage performance. Richard has been singing with most of the salsa and afro Cuban bands around Sydney as well as working on afro Peruvian music projects.

His recently participation on the successful musical theatre “Latitude 33”, last year in the competition for Latin music bands in Australia called “Clave Contra Clave” to give as finalists in Melbourne 2011, as well “Darling Harbour Latin Fiesta” 2009 – 2010 – 2011 – 2012 – 2013 – 2014 – 2015.
